The Community Engagement intern assists with developing and implementing the communications and marketing objectives of Santa Cruz County Park’s Engagement Team. Intern responsibilities include assisting with online marketing tools including website updates, e-newsletters and social media posts. Interns will play a major role in creating, editing, and designing graphics and resources.
The Administrative internship provides valuable experience in local government operations while building key administrative and organizational skills. Interns may participate in tasks such as document management, digitalizing files, communication with vendors, customer service, and process improvement. This role emphasizes efficiency, collaboration, and innovation in managing modern administrative workflows.
The Seniors Engagement intern will assist with developing and implementing a seniors phone survey in-line with the objectives of Santa Cruz County Park’s Engagement Team. The Seniors Engagement Internship responsibilities include assisting with development and implementation of a seniors phone survey, tracking responses, and providing data and informational graphs to the County Parks Engagement Team. Additionally, the Seniors Engagement intern will help analyze the responses and design possible seniors programming for County Parks.
The Volunteer Program Intern will develop skills to increase the visibility and numbers of volunteers in Santa Cruz County Parks. Interns will work directly with the Volunteer Coordinator and assist with all aspects of the program from recruiting new volunteers, marketing, promoting and creating new volunteer opportunities, training volunteers; all the while, conveying the organization’s purpose to the public.
